Still out there?

Well, so much for my 3-4 times a week, eh?? I apologize for being a touch on the delinquent side with regards to keeping up the updates (hmm-- kinda poetic). I don't have good excuses so I won't bore you with my bad ones. So yes, we're still out there. (Well, we're here but it'd be 'there' to you... but.... I digress.) But the question goes both ways. Are there faithful readers still out there? L and I would love to hear from you. [Insert shameless comment solicitation here.]

So what's been up? Well, this week has gotten us back to where L and I were before my travel and our influx of visitors -- just he and I at the house. We're sliding back into our old routine with some positive changes.

This past week was a chemo week, week 1 of round 3 of chemo. Tuesday at Dr. T's office, L got the clearance to drive (YAY!) and notification that the chemo is really doing its thing and all appropriate levels are beginning to balance quite well.  This is fantastic news! Still working through the chemo, 8 rounds are scheduled in all, but things are really looking up. Wednesday, we went to the follow up appointment at the orthopedist's office and again, clean(ish) bill of health from him. He was only in the room for a few minutes as everything is healing/healed up nicely from the surgery and L's mobility is almost 100% back to normal.

Overnight Wednesday night, L had some stomach issues and didn't sleep great because of that and unfortunately, by Thursday evening, he was feeling pretty sick to his stomach. A quick run out for some Pepto helped overnight but by the time I picked up K from the airport Friday morning, L was feeling pretty sick. He made it to his chemo appointment a little late but got sick at the office. They gave him something and he started feeling better quickly. By the time I got home from work Friday, he seemed to have kicked the stomach issues. There were some patients in the chemo area, though, that were coughing and sneezing and it seems like L may have picked up a little 'snizzle' (as he likes to call it). We're gonna be calling to check on what to do about that tomorrow.

The weekend was pretty chill for all of us. The weather was exceptionally beautiful... clear skies, crisp fall air, falling leaves.  L and K took a couple of shopping trips throughout the weekend and K left us with a big pot of super tasty chili. Mmmmm.... chili......

This week is a chemo week also... week 2 of round 3. Next week will be off. We gotta figure out L's cold and I'll be at work the non-chemo days. So that's our story.

Drop us a comment... we'd love to hear from you! Thanks for your prayers and support. Much love to all.
