I mentioned storms. Yes, well, they didn't stop last night. As I said, there was drenching rain as we traveled to the hospital. We met the same on the way home. It stopped briefly and the sun made a valiant attempt at showing its face the clouds won out and then it proceeded to rain cats and dogs for the better part of the afternoon. L and I were glad to only be watching it out the window and on the news. The Doppler looked something like this and here and here are the results of that kind of forecast. It was a total hot mess. (As a slight silver lining, I have exceptionally cute wet weather wear!)
As for the other events in our day, L's port insertion went well. It took a while but we got home well clear of all the foolishness with the roads. After that, we just kinda bummed around. L and I chatted and he chatted on the phone some and I worked on some projects for work and we watched the news.
I told L I wanted to watch the season premiere of House at 8 and he actually asked me, "So you don't want me to talk to you at all during that then?" I felt kinda convicted... tried to play it off. "It's not that big of a deal." "No, no... I've watched shows with you before." Ouch. I'm trying to get better about that... Really, I am. :) (I still can't have interruptions during Smallville... but I'm working on that too!).
And that was the end to our day. Chemo in the morning. Pray for safe travels and for all those who are struggling with the results of the floods today.
