I first heard 'Revelation Song' at church the first Sunday that L was feeling sick. It was an amazing service and the worship in the sanctuary was unlike any that I have ever experienced. The next day (randomly... but not randomly), a friend from church used FB to share a video with another friend from church. I followed the link and discovered Kari Jobe. I found her Youtube page and was in tears at my desk at work watching her video 'I'm Singing' about having joy in the face of all sorts of difficult situations. I downloaded her album and discovered that song 11 was 'Revelation Song' (this was in fact why the friend from church found her as well... she was looking for 'Revelation Song' after we'd heard it the day before).
As the events of L's illness have unfolded in these few short weeks, there have been so many ups and downs... already. Kari's album has been one of the ways that God has continued to remind me that He is here and that He cares.
You hold my every moment
You calm my raging sea
You walk with me through fire
You heal all my disease
I trust in you
I trust in you
I believe you're my healer
I believe you are all I need... I believe
I believe you're my portion
I believe you're more than enough for me
Jesus, you're all I need
Nothing is impossible for you
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible for you
You hold my world in your hands
Kari's site for this song has a video with an amazing story of how God can work.
I believe....

God has never been short on His promises and He has a plan for our lives - for our welfare, and not for calamity. I certainly don't pretend to understand His method, but I must believe His Word that He causes all things to work out together for our good. With that being said, you are my brother and my friend. I pray that God will grant me a private audience with Him to discuss your condition. I will tell Him how you have been my inspiration to try and live right! You have always showed me the power of His Holy Spirit and encouraged me when I did not know which way to go or what to do in my own situations. I will ask Him to remember that you are a prayer warrior and have always been an example of what God is and what He can do! I will tell Him that because of your witness and example, I did not give up, and that my faith was restored; my heart encouraged; and my walk with Him renewed and refreshed. I love you, my brother, and I believe He will hear me and bring you restoration, healing, and recovery.
ReplyDeleteIn His name I pray - God, The Father; God, The Son; God, The Holy Spirit; Amen.
Your brother, Richard
