Neither L nor myself slept well last night. Heavy storms have been in the area for the last few days and there was so much lightning last night that I felt like there were paparazzi outside of my window. I guess it's good we're not celebrities or we'd never get any sleep.
In any event, we made it out of the house and through the drenching rain to the hospital on time for his procedure this morning. I was quite proud of us (You know how I feel about 8 o'clock appointments--napping WILL ensue later today). He is getting a port put in today so the chemo infusions are quicker and easier than L having to get an IV put in twice a week (ouch). It's gonna take a few hours which means we might be here another hour or so.
Yesterday was largely uneventful. I was at church to dance from very early until about 1 when I got home just in time to take K to the airport. After she left, I napped while L puttered about the house. We both talked on the phone a fair amount after I got up... L to his mom, to K and some other folks; me to my former roommate who is getting married (yay!) and to my homeboy, J, for our Sunday night check-in.
This is a busy week for us.... Port today, chemo tomorrow, PT and OT Wednesday, OT Thursday and chemo Friday. Expecting a visitor from CA on Wednesday (more details on that as I get them) and K returns on Friday.
Stay dry, kids. We'll try to do the same.
